The journey of a thousand miles begins here...

The first stop on my adventure is the small coastal town of Cambria, California. Smaller than I expected, Cambria is a little slice of paradise. Approximately 7,500 people, Cambria thrives on tourism, and rightly so. The scenery, the quaint downtown scene, the ocean and idyllic temperatures make this a perfect getaway for people up and down the California coast.
I check into my B&B, a charming place I found online. The owners are more than attentive and extremely gracious. After a long day of packing and traveling, the extra attention is very welcomed and much appreciated.
After a delicious treat of wine, cheese, crackers and homemade guacamole, I stroll down to Moonstone beach for a walk along the boardwalk, past several restaurants and inns. The weather is simply perfect, with a nice breeze, crashing waves, and the clearest sky I’ve seen in a very long time.
My trip is off to a good start.
