It's raining, it's pouring!

My home for the last few weeks has been in Newport, Oregon: http://discovernewport.com/. The most recognizable structure in Newport is a large green bridge located at the south entrance of town. My current vacation rental overlooks this bridge and the Yaquina Bay, and it’s been a real treat to watch storms roll in over the bay (even got a little bit of snow today!).

Speaking of storms, I think I’ve seen more rain in the last couple of weeks here than I have during the entire past year in California! I do like the rain, but already have to admit to a bit of cabin fever because of it. I wonder if it’s something you just get used to after living here for a while?

In my yoga class yesterday, I overheard one woman saying that yesterday’s storm was the first they’d had in a while (three or four days, I think?), and that we really needed the rain! As with anything, I guess weather is relative as well!
