So much wine, so little time!

As I work my way up the California coast, my next stop is “wine country.” This is an area I’ve always wanted to visit, but it has somehow eluded me all these years. I found a great vacation rental in Cotati, which is smack-dab in the middle of the culinary paradise called Sonoma County.
Of course, being in “wine country” and being a bit of a “foodie” means I’m obligated to explore all that the area has to offer in the way of food and wine. Trips to the towns of Napa and Sonoma are exquisitely delicious, a bouquet of autumn colors and flavors. The vineyards are changing colors, which makes me think how beautiful Vermont must be this time of year.
While in Napa, I stop at COPIA, the American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts. If you’re ever in the area, definitely stop to check it out: http://www.copia.org/. Even if you already know a lot about food and wine, you’ll undoubtedly learn something new here (and your pallet will be pleased as well).
